As we get older, we might start to notice signs of aging. If you have started to notice things like bags under your eyes, looking more tired than usual, or just feeling with less energy, we have got some advice for you. There are natural ways that you can keep yourself looking beautiful and keep your confidence levels up where they belong. Want to know what these are? We’re going to talk about them below.
Healthy Eating
One of the first things that you can do is look at your diet. If it does not consist of healthy vegetables and lean meat, balanced portions, then you need to think about changing your diet as soon as possible.
Fruits, vegetables, healthy fats, lean meats such as turkey and chicken are all good for you, and all have something in them you need. Whether this is protein, vitamins, minerals, or nutrients, all of these foods will provide you with something to keep you looking beautiful. If you aren’t getting everything you need from your food, your skin and body are going to reflect this. Remember that beautiful skin starts from within your body.
Simplify Cooking
If you don’t have time to stand over the stove all day (I mean, who does? ), you might want to try out a cooking technique called sous vide. You are going to need some sous vide equipment to do this, but this is not hard to find. What you do here is cook food in a ziplock bag, and cook into a water bath, or in a steam chamber of some kind. When cooking this way, it takes a lot longer than normal so you can go about your day while your food is cooking. This is healthy for you because it keeps in all the fats, vitamins and minerals that you could lose with other types of cooking.
Meal prepping is essential to maintaining healthy eating habits and with the sous vide technique, well, prepping your meals becomes simplified and leaves time for you to do more of what you love. You can find great sous vide recipes here.
Get Enough Sleep
Your sleeping habits are going to be reflected on your face. And yes, beauty sleep is called that for a reason. If you are noticing bags under your eyes, dark circles, dull skin or anything like this, you need to look at your sleeping pattern. It is important to get the 8 hours of recommended sleep each night, but not just for your beauty. Your brain needs this time while you aren’t doing anything to sort out anything that needs doing inside your body. But also, it means that your body isn’t releasing as much of the stress hormone, which keeps your skin radiant all day.
Do Yoga To Relax
If you are stressed, you might find that you are noticing physical signs of this on your body. This could be dull skin, you might experience breakouts, a tired complexion, a cranky mood, and other symptoms that you might notice. One of the best ways that you can combat this is to take up yoga a few times a week. This is going to bring your stress levels right down and lead to you smiling a lot more (remember Elle Woods line: exercise produces endorphins, endorphins make you happy, happy people don’t just shoot their husbands 😂). You are always the most beautiful when you are smiling, and that’s what yoga is going to provide for you, a stress-reduced life.
And doing yoga doesn’t mean you have to attend a class (although if you’re a beginner I highly recommend with attending classes first). Today, there are many apps right from the comfort of your phone that help you do yoga the right way. My fave is from Sjana Elise 🙂
