Hello babes! Today I’m going to give you some serious wanderlust for those who love adventure travel. Anyone who loves to travel and loves to have incredible adventures when they’re traveling knows how important it is to always be looking for new places to visit and experience.

It’s only right that you should look for new countries that you’ve never been to before because it can get very boring if you’re just heading back to the same old places every time you go traveling. New countries bring new cultures and new experiences for you to make the most of.

Around the Globe

The world is a pretty huge place, so you’ll never reach the point at which you’ve seen and done it all. That’s the great thing about traveling the world; there’s always more to do and see that you didn’t even know about before.

So if you really want to make the most of your travels, now is the time to start looking at the countries that you really must head to if you’re the kind of person who loves a new and exciting adventure [Insert Bilbo Baggins voice shouting that last part here 🙃]

Here’s a list of countries that every adventure-lover has to make the most of. These are some of the places that offer the most unique and exciting adventures to visitors, so read on now to learn more about them.

Mongolia

Mongolia is a country that really is like no other. People say that about all kinds of places and there’s usually not much truth to it. But when it comes to Mongolia, it really is 100% true. Think Genghis Khan.  The culture is truly astounding and nothing like you will find in nearby countries. So when it comes to experience a true adventure in Mongolia, it all comes down to experiencing the culture first-hand and making the most of it. You will enjoy the country a lot and it will be an experience that’s truly like no other you’ve had before, from the music to the traditional festivals to staying in a Mongolian yurt.

Finland

Some of the experiences you can have in Finland are pretty extreme. It’s a country that feels like a shock to the system, certainly as far as the temperature is concerned. One thing that the Finnish love to do is spend some time in a sauna before bursting outside and jumping into an icy lake. It’s just as wild as it sounds, but you should definitely try it out for yourself.

The Northern Lights it’s a must here. You can stay at a glass igloo and watch the Aurora Borealis from your bed. Literally.  If you’re going to be visiting during Winter, the Kemi Snow Castle is another must. This icy castle is built anew every winter.

On top of that, you can also spend time with some reindeer and ride a snowmobile. There’s also the Santa Claus Village if you fancy Christmas all year-round.

Iceland is one of the countries you must visit if you like adventure and watching the Northern Lights

India

When you visit India for the time, there’s pretty much no way of staying within your comfort zone because everything you do, see and experience will be so far removed from what you’re used to back home. But that’s what a unique adventure should be all about when you’re traveling. Even getting around in India can seem like a daunting challenge in India, but you should go with the flow and just try to navigate the country as well as you can because there’s plenty of beauty to be found there too.

Obviously, the Taj Mahal is a must here.  You can trek the Himalayas or be mesmerized by Goa and live the dream beach life.  I’m a huge fan of Bollywood (I have tried to dance as they do in the movies and I hope to ace it someday🙈), and visiting Bollywood studios is also an option.

Canada

Canada might not be a huge culture shock for you if you’re traveling there from another western country, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have an incredible adventure there. Thanks to the lakes, rapids, mountains, and forests that the country has in abundance, you will have an incredible time scaling the natural environment and pushing yourself to the max. There are so many wonders to see and explore in your own time, so just make the most of them and do what you can do enjoy everything Canada can throw at you. I mean, there’s the Niagara Falls, the Sandbanks near Kingston, the Thousand Islands, Algonquin Park, and Manitoulin Island, just to name a few.

Canada has a huge amount of terrain, so make sure you prep yourself well for a trip of this kind.

China

Ni hao ma? (let’s see if any of you answer back, in Mandarin of course. Leave your response in the comments section)  China has plenty of great cities for you explore, from Shanghai to Beijing and plenty in between. But you don’t have to stick to the urban environment. If you want to make the most of China, you should try to branch out a little and enjoy the natural side of the country, like the Rainbow Mountains at Zhangye Danxia Landform Geological Park.

It’s easy to leave the beaten track and find yourself exploring the countryside and villages that you might not have even known existed before. There’s a lot more to the country than you think you know about it, so don’t be afraid to get stuck in.

New Zealand

Ok, so first of all, there’s this:

Taringa whakarongo!

Kia rite! Kia rite! Kia mau!

Hī!

Ringa ringa pakia!

Waewae takahia kia kino nei hoki!

Kia kino nei hoki!

Ka mate, ka mate

Ka ora’ Ka ora’

Ka mate, ka mate

Ka ora’ Ka ora’

Now imagine the All Blacks performing “ka mate“! (chill, I’m not challenging you or anything but I just love the haka, which is a Maori war dance and something the All Blacks do before their rugby matches) And I’m not a huge fan of rugby but I am a huge fan of the All Blacks 🙂 Let that sink in. Anyway, watching the All Blacks play is a must.

New Zealand is a country that can often be overshadowed by Australia, but that shouldn’t be the case. It’s a fantastic country in its own right with so much fantastic stuff to offer people. If you have never been there but want to experience it first hand, make it a priority because you won’t be disappointed. You can go rafting or do some bungee jumping, or go watch the All Blacks play…just sayin’.

You can visit the Waitomo Glowworm Caves and the Coromandel Peninsula and of course, the Shire 🙂 It doesn’t matter what you choose to do, you’ll have a great time doing it. The cities in New Zealand are completely unique and have a lot to offer.

Indonesia

Indonesia is a country that has a lot to offer anyone who enjoys experiencing new things. You should find a base for your travels at https://www.rumah.com/tanah-disewa and then start looking into the many incredible experiences this country has to offer you. If you love exploring marine life, Indonesia’s Gili Islands are for you. And if you want to meet some dragons, you can head to Komodo National Park. Jakarta is ideal if you want to experience the urban side of the country, so there’s something for everyone here.

USA

Traveling the length and breadth of the USA is something everyone should do at least once. It’s perhaps the most varied nation on the Earth, and it’s a place that can surprise, however, well you might think you know it. When you’re traveling from the South East of the US all the way up to the North West, you will see so much variety along the way and experience so much for the first time. And there are plenty of different routes you can take; maybe you want to drive route 66 for example, or maybe you want to go from California to Utah and take America’s Loneliest Road.

This country has so many amazing national parks and hiking places that are absolutely worth a visit (or a camping trip 🙂 ) Here’s a few of my favorites:

  1. Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah
  2. Zion National Park, Utah
  3. Yosemite National Park, California
  4. Coalmine Canyon, Arizona
  5. Blue Canyon, Arizona
  6. Ramona Falls, Oregon
  7. Ecola State Park, Oregon
  8. Yellowstone National Park
  9. Lake Mcdonald at Glacier National Park, Montana
  10. Fly Gyser, Nevada

Botswana

Botswana might not be a country that you’ve even contemplated traveling to before now, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t consider it. The African safari experience can be found in many different countries, but many argue that it’s never better than in Botswana. Here you can stay in national parks among the animals in campsites that are specially designed for tourists visiting. It’s about as authentic an experience you can get when it comes to African safaris. So if it’s always been a dream if yours to go on an African safari, this is your chance to go for it.

Papua New Guinea

From Volcanic regions to stunning local culture, Papua New Guinea has it all. It’s very close to Australia, so if you’re there and you want to explore somewhere that’s very close but completely different, this is the place you should go to. It has more to offer than you might imagine. Visit the Port Moresby Nature Park and Rainforest Habitat, or Rabaul with imposing volcanoes. You can also do things like scuba diving and explore all of the locations that look a lot like heaven on Earth, so it’ll all be worthwhile.

Bolivia

The mountainous areas of Bolivia are incredible, and with ancient cities, the Amazon jungle and the Andes mountains to explore, there’s more than enough to keep you busy while you’re there. A must for me is Salar de Uyuni and Lake Titicaca. It’s a country in which the indigenous cultures are still able to grow and thrive, which is all too rare elsewhere in the world. This is something that you should make the most of and immerse yourself in. The people will treat you well and you’ll learn a lot about their culture if you’re willing to interact with it directly.

Bolivia, a must-visit country if you like adventure

Iceland

Because who doesn’t want to go to Blue Lagoon, right? Iceland is a country that more and more adventurers are heading to, but you need to be careful because many people turn up ill-equipped and end up in danger. You should understand that the rural areas of Iceland can be very harsh, and the conditions can turn very quickly. So make sure that you know what you’re getting into before you go. Having said all that, it’s a great place for a serious adventure. You can explore the glaciers and then head to the hot springs.

Countries you need to visit if you love adventure

Portugal

E aí, tudo bem? Portugal, throughout history, has been home to some of the world’s most famous explorers. The coastline, the rivers and the wine regions that are ripe for exploration all make it a place worth visiting and exploring next time you get the chance to.

The Azores are a particular highlight that lots of adventure-lovers now flock to. It’s off the cost of the country, but it’s home to mountains, lakes, and volcanoes, as well as being a great spot for watching whales. Here’s a list of cool and unusual things to do in Portugal.
